Current Opening - Member Service Representative - Full Time

The primary role of this position is to assist Dane County Credit Union in living out its mission, “building lifetime relationships with personalized financial solutions,” by providing outstanding service to each individual. A key component of this position is to identify the financial needs of members and prospects and recommend an appropriate credit union solution.

Major tasks/responsibilities

  • Identify relationship-building opportunities with every contact, cross sell savings, loans, and self-service products
  • Assist members with online banking and offers other technical assistance as needed
  • Open and close accounts, and perform general maintenance of existing accounts
  • Initiate outbound call contact to offer appropriate credit union products and services using leads provided
  • Interview loan applicants, complete loan applications, and communicate all aspects of the underwriter’s decision to the member
  • Meet or exceed established sales, service, and buyout goals

Schedule: Full time (typically Monday - Friday, 8:45 a.m. - 5:45 p.m.) with rotating Saturdays (8:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.)

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience with deposit accounts, consumer lending and second mortgages
  • Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and resolve situations independently using sound judgment

Current Opening - Accountant 2 - Part Time

Dane County Credit Union has an opening for an Accountant 2. The position is part time and will have flexible hours Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Position location will be 2160 Rimrock Rd, Madison WI. The primary role of this position is to support the financial management and operations of the credit union through maintenance of accounting records and reports to live out Dane County Credit Union’s mission of “building lifetime relationships with personalized financial solutions”.

Major duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries, recording transactional information along with standard and recurring entries.
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Assist with documentation for audits.
  • Perform tax reporting and filing. Assist in the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Assist with internal and external inquiries/issues as they arise. Research and offer resolution in a timely manner.
  • Process, reconcile, and administer investments.
  • Generate reports to provide finance management useful analytical information for evaluating revenue and expenses. Assist with the development of specialized reports.
  • Serve as a backup and assist with various accounts receivable and accounts payable duties and electronic payments.
  • Enter, update, and complete retirement and disposal of all corporate purchases into the Fixed Asset System.

Qualifications:

  • Six months to two years of similar or related experience, providing financial accounting support unitizing a financial software platform.
  • A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school in the accounting area is preferred.
  • Analytical skills and organization skills a must.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word and Excel)
  • Experience with general ledger, accounts payable, and fixed assets desirable.
  • Attention to detail and follow-through are expected.

The primary role of this position is to assist Dane County Credit Union in living out its mission, “building lifetime relationships with personalized financial solutions,” by providing outstanding service to each individual. Major tasks/responsibilities

  • As a primary phone agent, take inbound calls and assist members with all account questions via telephone, email and chat
  • Identify relationship-building opportunities with every contact, cross sell savings, loans and self-service products
  • Assist members with online banking and offer other technical assistance as needed
  • Open and close accounts, and perform general maintenance of existing accounts
  • Initiate outbound call contact to offer appropriate credit union products and services using leads provided
  • Interview loan applicants, complete loan applications, and communicate all aspects of the underwriter’s decision to the member
  • Meet or exceed established sales, service, and buyout goals

Schedule: Full time hours range from 7:15 am to 6:00 pm Monday - Friday, and 8:15 am to 12:15 pm Saturdays.
